Chopper's Pet Supplies is a locally owned and operated

retail store in beautiful Invermere, which is located in the East Kootenay region of British Columbia. 

We offer supplies and a selection of premium foods that will promote the quality and longevity of your companion animals life. 

You can feel good about buying supplies for your animal companion at Chopper's, because we only stock products that we would give to our own animals!

 Chopper's Pet Supplies does not sell animals!  We support and promote adoption from shelters and rescue organizations.

When surrendered and abandoned animals started coming through Chopper's doors, it was realized there was a need for help in our own community.  I knew that I couldn't take them all home and that I needed help!  I decided to put an email plea to several other local women that I knew were as passionate as me in regards to animal welfare, to "get something started".  One of those women then wrote an article in the local newspaper to inform the public what we were planning to do.  A couple of meetings later, a lot of planning and a heap of paperwork...

it was official; we had started the

Invermere Companion Animal Network (ICAN).

Since it's creation in May 2007, ICAN has now grown into a registered charity that has re-homed over 250 animals in the Invermere area.
